HackersFood ("HackersFood", "we", "us", "our") is a cybersecurity consulting and compliance auditing firm headquartered in New Delhi, India. This policy explains what personal data we collect through www.hackersfood.com, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have over it. It does not cover data we process on behalf of clients under a separate engagement or Data Processing Agreement - those are governed by the terms of that specific contract.

1. What We Collect

We collect personal data only when you choose to give it to us, through:

  • Contact and assessment request forms: name, email address, phone number, company name, and the message or service details you enter.
  • Newsletter sign-up: your email address.
  • WhatsApp / phone / email contact: whatever information you choose to share when you reach out directly.
  • Basic technical data: standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) generated automatically when you visit the site.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data (financial account numbers, health data, biometric data) through this website. If you send us such information voluntarily in a message, we will handle it under the same safeguards described below and delete it once it is no longer needed.

2. How We Use It

We use the data you submit to: respond to enquiries and prepare proposals; schedule consultations; send the newsletter you subscribed to (you can unsubscribe at any time); and maintain internal records of client communication for legitimate business purposes. We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

To operate this website, we use a small number of third-party service providers, each of which processes limited data on our behalf:

  • EmailJS: delivers the contact form and newsletter submissions from your browser to our inbox.
  • Google Fonts: serves the typefaces used on this site.
  • jsDelivr (CDN): hosts the JavaScript libraries (including our icon set) that the site loads.
  • WhatsApp: if you click "WhatsApp Us," you leave our site and start a chat directly with HackersFood on WhatsApp, subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy.

We do not currently run advertising trackers or third-party analytics on this site. If that changes, we will update this policy and, where required, add a cookie consent notice - see our Cookie Policy for details.

4. Data Retention

We retain enquiry and contact data for as long as needed to respond to your request and, where a business relationship follows, for the duration of that relationship plus a reasonable period afterward for accounting, legal, and audit purposes. Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe.

5. Your Rights

If you are located in India, you have rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), including the right to access, correct, and request erasure of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have equivalent rights under the GDPR. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@hackersfood.com and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

6. Security

As a cybersecurity firm, we take the security of the data we hold seriously and apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect it from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. No system is completely immune to risk, and we encourage you not to send highly sensitive information (passwords, financial credentials) through the contact form.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
